Q: Hi, how are you today?
Nik: Hello. I’m well, thank you for asking.
Q: So what took so long?
Nik: Honestly, this can be a really, really long answer. But let’s just stick with the tried and true “busy and lazy.”
Q: Will you someday expound upon the really long answer?
Nik: Sure, probably.
Q: What finally tipped you over?
Nik: Life is short and only getting shorter. From time to time, I may have something interesting to say or share. But probably more importantly to me, this blog may become a source of reappraisal of how I may have progressed or digressed from certain contemporary trends and opinions, etc. Yeah, it’s ultimately all about self-interest. I question the existence of altruistic altruism.
Q: What purposes will your blog serve? Are there specific issues you will cover or avoid?
Nik: Anything, really. But I’m big on humor, film, music, politics, current events, philosophy and science. And definitely design and words. Languages and linguistics, human cognition and behavior and all things design are my thing. As for what I will avoid… things not at all interesting to me or of which I don’t have a decent understanding.
Q: What’s for lunch?
Nik: Um… not really prepared to answer. Don’t know, but you did remind me that I’m hungry. Thanks, Q. Are we done?
Q: Sure, for now. We’ll chat more next time, okay?
Nik: Uh… sure. You have more questions?
Q: Let’s just say, a lot.
Nik: Ooookay. I’m going now.
Q: Where are you going?
Nik: Get lunch.
Q: Where?
Nik: Dude, why?
Q: Why what?
Nik: Why are you asking where? Why do you want to know?
Q: I live to ask things.
Nik: You are one weird dude. No offense.
Q: None taken. So…
.
.
.
Nik: Yoshinoya.
Q: Got it.
Nik: See ya.
Q: Ciao.
